Study aid, not the DMV

US Driver is an independent study aid. CA Driver and NJ Driver are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for the California DMV, the New Jersey MVC, or any other state motor-vehicle agency. Handbooks, fees, passing scores, appointment rules, and test formats change. The official agency website always wins. Practice questions and articles can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and nothing here guarantees you will pass.

No account

The app has no sign-up and no login. Practice records are stored locally and are not backed up by us; operating-system backups are managed separately. Removing app data, switching phones, or resetting your device may cause loss of progress. Related usage events are collected as described in the Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions and billing

VIP plans include weekly and monthly subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase, subject to store availability. A lifetime purchase does not renew automatically. The renewal and cancellation terms below apply to subscriptions.

Subscriptions are sold as auto-renewing in-app subscriptions through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within 24 hours before that period ends.

Manage or cancel a subscription in your store account settings — not in our app, because we have no account system. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we cannot issue them. Prices may change, and any change applies only after the store notifies you and you accept it.

Because there is no account, your subscription follows your store account. Use “Restore Purchases” on a new device signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account.

Ads on the free tier

The free tier is supported by Google AdMob ads. The apps currently do not set age-based ad-request flags for minors, so we do not promise that minors receive only non-personalized ads. Active VIP access removes ads but does not disable Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. See the Privacy Policy and Do Not Sell or Share for data handling and available controls.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades service, impersonate US Driver, or use our materials to cheat on an official examination.

Intellectual property

Site design, copy, and original questions belong to US Driver. Official handbook text and state trademarks belong to the relevant state. Links to official PDFs are provided for convenience.

Apple and Google

The app is licensed, not sold, to you. On iOS, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms; where the two conflict on iOS, Apple’s terms control. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms, are not responsible for the app or its content, and have no obligation to provide support. Apple is a third-party beneficiary and may enforce these terms against you.

Liability and governing law

The site and app are provided as is. To the fullest extent allowed by law we are not liable for failed tests, missed appointments, fines, lost progress, or damages arising from reliance on them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds a section unenforceable, the rest still applies.
